Dead Poets Society
We are incredibly excited to announce yet another widely celebrated film to screen at the historic Babcock Theatre very soon! Saturday, November 23rd, we will be having a special screening of Peter Weir's incredible 1989 drama, DEAD POETS SOCIETY, celebrating the film's 35th anniversary! Starring the late Robin Williams in one of his very best roles, DEAD POETS SOCIETY is a wonderful love letter to individuality, nonconformity, and an appreciation for life that has stunned viewers for more than three decades, garnering a massive appreciation as one of the best films of the 20th century! At an elite and old-fashioned boarding school in New England, passionate English teacher John Keating brings inspiration to his students, motivating them to rebel against the norm and what is expected of them in order to seize the potential every day offers. As the students' appreciation for Keating grows, this circumstantial brings disapproval from the school's stern headmaster.
