Biking the Trails          
Try your hand at Mountain Biking or cruising on the many trails in Billings. The Spoke Shop rents bikes for any type of cyclist or trail. Ready to test a Mountain Bike? Acton Recreation, Dover Park, or Zimmerman Park are sure to get your blood pumping! Looking for that easy cruise on pavement? Swords Rimrock or Riverfront Parks are great spots for an easy paved ridin’!
 
 
First Snow Date
No one is ready for the s-word yet, but when that day comes, we don’t have to stop the adventure! Billings still has tons of winter activities, and when that first snow falls, head on over to The Base Camp and rent some snow shoes or cross country skis and get out on the trails for a winter wonderland adventure. Riverfront Park, Two Moon Park, Pioneers Park, and Pompeys Pillar National Monument are some local favorites for snow fun!
 
 
Billings is a food lover’s paradise, with award winning burgers, Farm to Table eateries, amazing bakeries, and James Beard Nominated Chefs, the food scene is sure to impress. So if your idea of a perfect date weekend is exploring a city by taste, here are a few of our must stops!
 
Brunch
Sassy Biscuit is one of our most unique bruncheries and is definitely Instagram worthy. Owner Jilan is passionate about her craft and bringing folks together through food, and if comfort food is your jam, they have you covered!
 
 
Stella’s Kitchen and Bakery has been an icon in downtown Billings for over 40 years. Stella has been whipping up amazing breakfast and cinnamon rolls big enough to feed a family for years. Plan on going early and there still might be a wait for a socially distanced table, but it is worth it!
 
Bernie’s Diner is located in the Historic Northern Hotel. This cute diner offers classic comfort foods with a modern twist – and will not disappoint. If you are really feeling ambitious, try the Vacation Breakfast!
 
Local Kitchen & Bar is your stop for outstanding locally sourced brunch creations. Brunch is only available on the weekends, so you will want a reservation for this phenomenal breakfast date.
 
Lunch
The Burger Dive is a must stop. Known for the World Champion Burger at the World Food Championships, you literally won’t find burgers like this anywhere else. The burgers are made fresh daily from never frozen, premium Angus beef and served on a locally made buns. The chef’s creativity shows in his menu with items like the “I’m Your Huckleberry” and “Date With Jim Beam And Coke”. Finish up with a milkshake and then head to your hotel for a nap; you’ll need it!
 
 
Stacked, a Montana Grill is another World Food Championship regular. While they haven’t quite won a title yet, they frequent the top ten often! Known for their layers of flavor, Stacked offers a full menu with burgers, steaks, tacos, and more. This is a great stop for lunch or dinner, plus they have many local beers on tap!
 
UberBrew is one of the stops along the Billings Brew Trail and boasts and awesome lunch menu. Mac and Cheese, Bison Burgers, Andouille Sausage and so much more. The award winning brewery offers great beers to pair with a hearty lunch!  
 
Dinner
Walker’s Grill has a James Beard Nominated Chef whipping up Montana Masterpieces. Chef Nick Steen prides his kitchen on supporting local farmers and ranchers. His unique and creative menu is second to none and the bartenders specialize in hand crafted cocktails that are always Instagram worthy!
 
 
TEN at the Northern Hotel pays homage to the owner’s late father Mr. Nelson, as a place to meet, greet, and enjoy great food and drinks. Serving modern Montana cuisine with regionally sourced flavors, this restaurant is a perfect romantic dinner spot.
 
The Fieldhouse is another photo worthy restaurant serving simple, yet delicious whole foods grown locally. The bright and airy restaurant is located on Minnesota Avenue and has one of the best patios in town. Attached to The Fieldhouse is the Annex Coffeehouse and Bakery, which is also a great morning stop!
 
 
Parasol is one of our newer restaurants and it sure is amazing. This gorgeous restaurant serves outstanding food with aesthetics that make you want to stare instead of eat, but don’t stress, it tastes as good as it looks!

Yellowstone Art Museum is a state-of-the-art facility with beautiful exhibits. The YAM is located in the building that once housed the historic Yellowstone County Jail. With traveling exhibits and a visible vault, this is a perfect stop for the art lover!
 
The Babcock Theatre is a bold, colorful landmark in the heart of downtown Billings. Constructed in 1907, what was once a venue for stage shows and boxing matches now shows first rate films along with cinema classics. Grab a local beer or wine at the concessions and enjoy a show in this recently renovated, historic spot!
