While Billings is known for the Billings Brew Trail, the only walkable brewery district in Montana, it only makes sense that an entire week would be dedicated to these fine establishments. Get your brew on for Billings Craft Beer Week May 12 - 18. Local breweries are teaming for a hoppening week filled with all things craft beer, from beer yoga and movie events to a beer run. You definitely won’t want to miss the Last Chance Beer Run and 5k on March 18^th. If you’ve reached your limit on beer consumption by the end of the festival, join in the 5k for a beer-free detox your body is craving. For the rest of you who have always wanted to run and chug beer at the same time, look no further. Runners in the Last Chance Beer Run begin the race by chugging a 4 oz beer from Yellowstone Valley Brewing. Dotted along the course, beer pit stops replace your typical water stands, featuring craft beer from seven local breweries. As you run across the finish line, be sure to rehydrate with a delicious, full pint of Red Lodge Ales/The Cider Mill. This race is one for the books.

Keeping with the athletic spirit, get out and run for some amazing causes this spring. Join the 10^th annual Purple 5K on April 28^th to help the fight against homelessness, poverty and addiction. Feel the vibe throughout Billings as the runners start downtown at the MSU Billings campus, go through the hospital corridor, and end up under Sky Point. Alternatively, celebrate the woman in your life at the 38^th Annual Montana’s Women’s Run on May 11^th. Bond along the five-mile or two-mile course, where entrants will do whatever it takes to finish; walk, run or even use a wheelchair. Enter or cheer them on.

Don’t miss Downtown Billings Alliance’s Alive After 5, every Thursday this June and July, where this summer series hosts a variety of different musicians each week. This year’s full line up has not been announced, but we do know the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be joining us downtown on June 29^th! Be sure to check the schedule as this year’s musical guests are announced!

Experience the vibrant arts scene in Billings the first Friday of every other month from April to October. More than 30 downtown storefronts participate in the ArtWalk Downtown Billings, showcasing the work of local and regional artists from 5pm to 9pm. Come browse, come buy, come have fun.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers’ Stone in Concert will be at the MetraPark on May 8. Do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime event! Experience the film that started it all in high definition, while a live orchestra performs John Williams’ iconic score! Come watch all your favorite cast of characters. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth time, doesn’t really matter because it’s Harry Potter.

Like theatre? How about a classic musical where the hills in Billings will be alive with the sound of music? The Sound of Music will be playing at the Alberta Bair Theater on April 8 and 9. Tap your toes and dance in your seat while Maria and the Von Trapp Family sing their award-winning songs.

In this western town, of course you expect an equestrian event. On May 25 to 26, come see the Montana Arabian Horse Show at the MetraPark Arena. Dedicated to promoting the Arabian breed and showcasing their fine qualities, discover why these unique horses have endured for centuries.

Alternatively, take your young ones to ZooMontana for an up-close and personal learning experience with an exciting class, ZooTots. Every week education specialists tell stories and offer real up-close experiences with different zoo animals. With a different animal each month, these classes are always an adventure!
