Why Billings is your Winter Destination

Winter in Montana is beautiful, there is no doubt about that. But when it comes to choosing your winter destination there are some things to consider: temperature, costs, and variety, just to name a few. When it comes to a winter trip that is friendly for your wallet and for families, Billings definitely has you covered.

Montana has some exceptional skiing options, but I think Red Lodge is best! For beginner skiers, both kids and adults learning to ski, Red Lodge Mountain costs just $5 for a full day on the “magic carpet” and only $15 for Miami Beach. These two areas are perfect for beginners who often won’t venture any further until they’ve mastered a few skills. Other mountains cost nearly $100 and much of the skiing isn’t beginner friendly.

Save even more money and time in-line by renting your skis in Billings.Big Bear Sports Center and The Ski Station  both offer rentals and The Ski Station won’t even charge you for travel days, only the days you actually ski! Looking to make a long-term commitment to your snow habit? The following places deliver with experts and variety to help get you outfitted.

The savings and reasons to choose Billings and Red Lodge don’t end there. Red Lodge Mountain is a ski town lodge rather than a resort, meaning lunch won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Gallivanting in Red Lodge also means you can scoot back to Billings for the evening and enjoy a larger variety of dinner choices and an endless variety of lodging options. Not to mention Billings has a night life friendly for the whole family. With indoor waterparks, movie theaters, trampoline parks and more, the possibilities are endless!
