This month, we will be having a special screening of Wes Craven's legendary slasher classic, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, in celebration of the film's 40th anniversary! Since it's theatrical release, this film has remained an iconic staple in the horror genre, reigniting the waning relevance of slasher films, and growing into a standout franchise full of character that has made a noticeable impression on the film industry! Nancy Thompson is a high school girl in an ordinary suburban town where nothing extraordinary seems to happen. But when her and her friends begin to experience intense nightmares of a burned man with bladed hand, her friends begin to be murdered in gruesome ways, with the situation being reported as a type of mass hysteria. With everyone worrying about her state of mind, Nancy does her own research and learns of Fred Krueger, a brutal child molester and murderer who was burned alive by the parents in her town years ago.
