The historic Babcock Theatre is having a special on adrenaline rushes on the 26th of July with a special screening of the non-stop action epic, SPEED, in celebration of the film's 30th anniversary! Keanu Reeves stars as L.A. SWAT cop Jack Traven, who is on a relentless hunt for crazed explosives expert Howard Payne. Thirsty for some major ransom money, Payne riggs a skyscraper elevator to detonate, and follows that up by rigging a bus with explosives- and Jack has got to keep it moving, because if it drops below 60 mph, it's set to blow- resulting in a city-wide collision course as Jack must improvise on his deadly route if he is to stop Payne! 30 years later, and SPEED still holds up a legitimately impressive pulse-pounder, full of stunts, explosions, Keanu, and all the other good stuff you'd want in a 90s action flick!
