Wednesday, October 9th, we are celebrating another Art House staff member's birthday! Brian Oestreich is our Creative Director, meaning he is the brain child responsible for curating all the incredibly cool stuff that we play, and he has been reshaping the art scene of Billings with us for five years now! Now that he is surviving another turn around the sun, Brian is celebrating at the historic Babcock Theatre with a special screening of one of his many favorites, Walter Hill's STREETS OF FIRE, which doubles as a 40th anniversary screening for the film itself! From the man who directed The Warriors, this neon-soaked rock-and-roll action epic has all you could want out of a visually striking popcorn film from 1984! Gorgeous rock singer Ellen Aim is kidnapped by notorious thug Raven Shaddock and his merciless gang of bikers while her ex-lover and soldier-for-hire, Tom Cody, happens to be passing through town. Desperate to save his star act, Ellen's manager hires Tom to rescue her. Teaming up with a former soldier, this vigilante duo rains down the fire as they traverse the ruthless and rugged streets on a city-wide search for Ellen!
Come check out this fantastic film and wish Brian a happy birthday! Art House Billings couldn't be what it is or offer you what it does without his contribution- so give the man some praise!
